Contemporary Irish literature - where do books for young people fit in?

TL; DR – writing for young people is often excluded from discussions of ‘literary fiction’, sometimes this is part of the lit-fic vs ‘commercial’/’genre’ thing and sometimes it’s about not understanding kidlit/YA, yay nuance!
